In some areas of the country, rain can be slightly acidic and as the water evaporates, the acid becomes more concentrated and can etch into the clear coat.

Ask the dealer to have a field service engineer help. There are new tools such as the MTS 4100 NVH Analyzer that can analyze vibrations, frequencies, (1st order, 2nd order, etc,) and graph the data....
