Just in case no one else has said it, only turn the new filter "hand tight" when installing, and use oil on the seal. Even when I do that the filter is sometimes difficult to get off.

I believe you also have to lower the steering column to get the driver's side dash/speedo/tach pad out. The upper steering column cover that is part of the driver's dash will most likely crack off...
