Re: Outer door handle rods - replacement (Mystery Machine)

I just recently replaced the outer passenger door handle; it took me somewhere between 2 and 3 hours. Mostly because I had to try to find a tool that I could fit in the cramped space that could...

Re: Who makes a good replacement outside mirror? (kaz1961)

I guess I can't really help much.

I bought my passenger mirror from ZIP two years ago and I've been very pleased with the fit & finish... ...

Re: Buying a 78 versus 77.....info please (Corvette_fetish)

Is a '79 or '80 an option?

I agree. Higher horsepower. Better seats. Spoilers. You have the 85 MPH speedo, but that can be replaced.

Somewhere along the line (don't know the year) the...

Re: What constitutes numbers matching?? (blunsford)

I even considered getting this block restamped to the correct serial number. I don't see how that would be unethical since it is the correct engine, just maybe not the original engine. I certainly...

Re: removing over spray from paint (greg454)

:iagree:

If the paint had more than a few feet to travel, I would think it'd come off pretty easily. Clay bars can remove a lot of surface contaminants :yesnod:

Re: Shift kit or throw away the spring (munday)

Is this http://users.erols.com/jerryp58/corvette/BNM6.jpg the spring (Step 16) he was talking about? As you can see, removing that spring is one of the steps in B&M's Shift Improver Kit...

Re: TIRE PRESSURE? (twoinchgroup52)

Check your driver's door tag.

I know on my '77 it's low 20s. I don't run them that low; probably about 26 - 28 psi all the way around.

Re: little help? outer door handle. (bhblue80)

DOH! I just checked the trash can in the garage. I changed my RH handle out two weeks ago, but I emptied the trash since then :banghead:

BTW, I put a repo in that I got from ZIP and I think it...

Re: chambered exhaust !!!! (bb Blue 73)

bb Blue 73,

I don't have them and have never even seen them in person, but I'm about positive that the answer to your question is "NO, a chambered exhaust system is not designed for mufflers and...

Re: how come there wasn't a C-3............ (OHSIXX)

OHSIXX, is that " " for my post?

What I was thinking was, that the "C" designation actually came out with the introduction of the '84 model, not with the introduction of the '97.

Re: Courtesy Flush... (foundvettelifeisgood)

I like the Prestone Flush & FIll kits with their garden hose attachments. They call for cutting one of the heater hoses (can't remember which inlet or outlet, I have it in the garage if you need it)...

Re: Flushed the 350 today (C3 - 81)

I'm assuming it didn't look like that underneath the radiator cap, YES/NO?

If not, how does it get that nasty? Are water passages completely blocked? If so, what kind of "hot spots"...

Re: Wheel question (Munky)

Well, I'll get you back ttt with the comment that -- I think the '68 was the only shark with a 15x7 rallye wheel. From '69 on, they were 15x8. Now, that's not to say a 15x8 wouldn't work on your...

Re: E Brake removal (jac1502)

I can tell you that I could not get mine...
