Just getting started, I need some advise.
I have never used this post before so if I am doing it incorrectly, let me know.
I recently purchased my first corvette. A '76 Stingray. I am going to take the body off of it this winter to detail the frame. Is it easier to use the sling or to lift the body off by hand? Once the body is off, does it require a special pedistal to be stored on or do you simply set it down on the ground?

Welcome to the forum. You will find lots of great information here. On the subject of body lifting, you will find that most people use the slings to lift the body and then set the body on a rolling dolly. Good luck with your project.

Welcome :seeya
You've already gotten a couple of answers and will probably get more, but you may also want to use the forum's Search utility to search for previous threads on the restoration / body-off subject. There's lots of good information archived here :yesnod:

Thank you all for the replies.
Absent a rolling dolly, does the body need to be supported in any special way while off the frame? In other words, if I set the body down flat on a trailer, do I need to support the body at all of the body bolt points?
