Okay I am going to show my stupidity now.
After reading the posts about chambered exhaust systems I have gotten the feeling there are no mufflers involved in the system. Is this true?
If so, wouldn't it be much louder than say a stock system?
Think I would like the deep sound of the chambered exhaust but don't want it to be really loud ether.

bb Blue 73,
I don't have them and have never even seen them in person, but I'm about positive that the answer to your question is "NO, a chambered exhaust system is not designed for mufflers and does not include them". Now, I don't think there's any reason you can't add them, in fact, I think some here have done that. Maybe even added a cross-over pipe to mellow them out some.
The answer to your other question is "YES, they are much louder than stock". I believe owners have compared them to sidepipe sound.

The "chambered" section IS the muffler, or so it qualifies for legal reasons. And when you stand on it, it IS loud! That's why we have them :-) They are also offer very low resistance. Mine are about half on now!

But are they quiet enough for cruising the strip without pee-ing off everyone? Can you have a conversation and listen to your stereo at cruising speed?
Thanks in advance,

Any of you guys in the D/FW area have this exhaust? I'd like to hear it.

There are no mufflers. But surprisingly it is throaty but not obnoxious. The Police have never given me problems. At 60mph there is no difficulty in having a conversation or listening to the stereo.

Corz,
How well did they fit with the headers? Do they make them ready to bolt to headers with 2.5 tubes?

I have 1-3/4" Hooker headers with 2-1/2" chambered and an H-pipe. I LOVE the sound, it is very unique and the H-pipe really mellowed it out and reduced the noise inside the car. I don't have a radio and usually don't have a passenger so that stuff doesn't matter to me.
Here's my favorite trick...when you are at a red light about to go under a big underpass for a freeway, hold it in first gear and go slow until you are underneath, then nail it to WOT and throttle and enjoy the show! Sounds like a NASCAR race under there...
