my 78 was doing the same exact thing, tried 2new calipers, bled them, tried new hoses, finally replaced the hard line and pads at the same time and fixed the problem... not sure if it was pads or the...

possibly you were on Top Dead Center of the exhaust stroke, you could try pulling the distributor and turn the rotor 180 degrees.

thanks for all your inputs!! I'm gonna check out the rustproofing oil and ask how long it lasts. wil probably paint the outside of the frame and then coat the inside with either oil or paint! it...

I used aluminum 3/16 rivets, long enough to be able to put a washer on the end of the rivet. (3/4 inch maybe?? it's beena couple years so forgot!)

I used a cheap garden sprayer, mixed kerosene with rustmoleum and thinned it out until it sprayed a fan pattern.. pumped up the sprayer by hand and did the inside of the frame a couple times hoping...

depends on whether or not you've got the spindle out of the TA. a couple methods which are sort of a long process to go into here in great detail! do you have a repair manual for your vette?
