Will 84-87 ZR1 style wheels work on an 89?

I have a set of 84-87 ZR1 tires & wheels from my 85 that I just sold. I am buying a 1989 Convertible. Does any one know of any problems with putting them on the 89 convertible?

California emissions - how bad does it hurt?

I'm looking at a few 88 - 89 convertibles. All of them have the California emissions. How much does that hurt performance and does this option make the car more expensive as far as parts are...

Thanks for the info. Makes perfect sense. I was on the phone last night with a person selling an 88 convertible and he said there weren't any storage compartments back there. That's what threw me....
