Did you ever find someone with a scan tool that can cycle the abs unit (it will check pump and solenoids pull codes, etc )?
Like i mentioned before, I chased the abs ghost for weeks before finding...

Agree...i think you can get the unit to cycle with a tech 1...at least i did with my 94 (its stiil obd 1). That will tell you and dump the codes.You can dump the codes manually but the cycle test...

Power Brake Exchange in San Jose (and another location in Socal) made the Auto Zone metal version. Not sure heat is an issue. The one I took off was original...I did have the m cyl stud spacing...

I got one from A Zone...it failed in about 4 months.Made by some company in Calf or out west someplace..talked to their customer service guys a couple of times.

Went with Delco OE replacement from...

I wasn't in a hurry and had to give my back, et al, breaks to "de-knot". I did not pull the seat this time.

84s have a voltmeter on the dash..just switch to volts (the other is water temp I believe).
Assuming it works you should have about 14 and change unless it's really hot, then it will be in the 13's...

I've got the same problem with my 94. Thinking its a vacuum/fuel problem because of how intermittent it is but I'm still on the hunt. The car was so hacked when I got it that it could be anything....

Bellhousing ground

I dropped the AT shift cable bracket and went in with a 24" extension and a couple of short extensions to give the overall extension some "flex".
Hope you don't have to reattach any terminal ends,...
