I hear that all the time but it is an automatic. Its a B&M quicksilver rachet shifter. I wish it was a manual but i like the quicksilver as well.

i have a 69 350(not original) with about 1k on the motor and trans, interior is almost completly redone, new bushings and front end, chrome is exellent, not a vert. Electron blue ext/black...

Those heads are one of the best chevy production heads made. I have set of 487's. There from 70-71. The block is 77-79, 2 or 4 bolt main.
What are the numbers on the passenger side pad on the front...

i just disconnected mine completely...plug the intake and the water pump or just loop them together for now till you figure out what your going to do.

OK..From what i've read this is a common problem. I read a few threads on it but kind find them in the search now. What bushing do i have to replace? Do have to disconnect the drive shaft?

There is another set of numbers on a pad on the passenger side, in front. That will give you where it was made, when it was made and the application.
