I think it is a plastic material, I went the route of using gorilla glue and then plastic welded it! This way it’s sealed in the middle out and then reinforced with the plastic weld that smoothed it...

WOW! Those are some really nice speakers, but a little steep on the price! I have a pair of alpine tweeters that I was going to Mount in the dash tweeter grilles.

thanks Ahrmike, I had the tweeters mounted to the a pillars, but I wanted the factory look and seeing as I have the dash out I wanted to do it before I have it leather wrapped.

the radio and hvac controls mount to this section and then the center console mounts to it. It has more weight on it then movement.

so I discovered that the oil was pooling under the cover in the front of the blower and was getting sucked into the number 1 cylinder the most. The oil baffle was not installed on the valley cover...

i check the compression in each cylinder, all are around 180+, with the LS3 heads my compression ratio is probably around 10.4 or 10.5. I didn’t want to mill the heads when I put this setup together.

I noticed too that the motor sucks a lot of oil into the blower, is that normal? I had just changed the oil and it’s already black.
