No, you do not need fans. I have the DRM trans and diff kits and have temp sensors on both. The heat exchangers do the job just fine. As long as you remember to turn on the pumps :cool:

I have a QM 7.25 Twin in a 100% dedicated track car and it's awesome. I wouldn't even consider anything else. That being said, I would NOT want it on a street car. Way too light for a DD IMHO.

I had a similar issue. I took a hacksaw and cut the side that was sticking out and then pressed through the other way with my vice. That seemed to take the pressure off and it went right out. YRMV.
