1. Clean battery terminals.
2. Clean chassis end of ground wire under the car.
Try to start. No crank?
3. Jumper the starter solenoid.
Does it crank now? Yes" Keyswitch. NO? Starter or solenoid.

A 90 degree butt cut is required to maintain the strength of the tube. If the tube is crushed longitudionally (like from a head on crash) an angle cut will tend to slide. A butt cutt will not slide....
