In a Ford Focus ST I had it was a blast to destroy all the Ford or Chevy trucks...

yes. ..anything left live in a plug outlet will be a drain on the battery. Be sure to use a battery tender to keep the battery charged.
leave your Vette in Reverse (if manual to limit battery drain).
