I NEVER see real world application of the extra power on the street. I love the appearance of the ZO6, wide body, etc... but even 600hp is more or less unusuable on the steet. just run out of usuable tarmac too quickly in most areas. Even in AZ with LOTS of long straights, the condition of the tarmac is pretty shaky. How much fun is it really to bang from 1st to 2nd up an onramp and then have to lift????? lol
I've got a C7 Z06 and I've had 0 issue using all 650 of my hp. Not sure what you're talking about.
Is the 900hp prediction based on their 650hp dyno numbers of the base C8?
Probabaly, the latest inside rumor is that Chevy took the MT Dyno C8, slapped $500 worth of eBay turbos on it, put a Tesla motor up front and wired it to the 12v battery and they got 950 whp.
This is sort of a big deal because it means there is no Zora/E-Ray model. ZR1 is the top Vette, which means the Z06 is more likely to be TT from past hierarchy of 650hp $80k. That price point of ZO6 wouldn't fly IMO w/FPC NA 600hp motor. ZO needs to be closer to 700hp for that price bump. And that means TT.

1-2 is not even 60mph in Z51. I'd need to hit 4th gear for my jollies. I've driven some 500hp street cars, and it's up top where you can use the power. But you're right, 600hp is a lot of power on the street. ZO will be a track day monster. I hope they make it a TT.

I am just saying you cannot stay in the throttle for more than a few seconds or maintain anywhere near the cars potential speed anywhere other than out in the sticks and even then, you are running into questionable operation. I am not talking about sneaking out on a freeway loop at 2am, I am talking about driving around town on a regular basis. I see LOTS of Z06's out on the road, people obviously daily the cars.

I really, really, REALLY hope they do an NA FPC V8. The combo of NA, TT and TT-H would be devastating. I wrote a post on how that would scare Porsche and got over 500 responses. Half of them were ***-hats flaming each other, but still...

See that green bar on the right? When it's at the top, that's full throttle. How is WOT not pushing the car? Sure I'm not pulling any lateral Gs, but you were talking about HP. I was going over 150mph at one point. Not sure wtf you're looking for. Are you expecting to see someone going WOT for 5 min straight doing 200+ mph the whole time??
EDIT: Also, you mentioned something about 1-2 gear pulls. I was red lining 4th gear
