The 3.15 diff was from an Automatic transmission car, but it will work with a 6-speed also. ;)

Sounds like you already know what will fix it. That's why the Tick is manufactured. High-Rpm shifting problems are a known problem with GM master. Tick master fixes it on most cars i've read about.
