In CT we are exempt from emissions after the car reaches 25 years old. I bought mine the Flowmasters on 2 1/2 inch pipes from the manifolds back for it's birthday present.

If you still have the factory air cleaner setup, replace it with an open design. These engines can't breath through the stock intake and exhaust. Replacing both makes a huge difference!
