The below link shows a simple hardwired solution available if you don't want to bother fabricating one yourself. Or all parts of the one shown in the link are available from most electronics stores if you want to make one up DIY. To me the time savings was worth buying and installing the completed unit. The switch is easy to reach from the driver's seat and there is no fob to lose, no velcro needed to mount a fob, etc. And, really, how many times will you want to impress your friends by using a fob to open the NPP exhaust while your Vette is idling across the street?

Anyway my $0.02. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjRkFgQX79s

I bought the basic kit from Sunset Orange Creations. There are instructions on how to program it to the sunvisor.

Dead pedal switch is my choice, - don't have to let go of the wheel or shift lever to engage it. Why mess with buttons and fobs when you can just tap it with your foot? Even with the fancy aluminum overlays, it's the way to go.

If you end up buying one of the systems with the small control box, you don't have to mount the box in the bottom of your storage bin. There are alternative locations to mount the box without wasting cubby storage.

+1 for the switch under the dash/deadpedal wherever you mount. Not only is it an elegant and inexpensive solution, it's fun to build and install out of the wire/switch/auxilliary fuse plug.

My M2W's control box fits in the box that holds the fuses that is located in the passenger side floorboard. It does not use up valuable storage bin space. Even if I didn't have the M2W, I wouldn't try and store anything in the fuse box.

Thanks guys. I ordered the M2W today. I believe it can be controlled by the button on the visor or the included remotes.

If you install the M2W in battery saver mode the default selection when the car starts will always be with the exhaust open. If you install it in the non battery saver mode (easier) the default selection when the car starts will be with the exhaust closed.

Driving around town the open selection is barely noticeable but once on the highway at 65 to 70 mph the drone becomes unacceptable (especially under light load) and it is nice to just push the button and have the exhaust close (I keep my M2W fob in the cup holders).

Dave I just purchased an 08 with dual mode and the mild to wild remote already installed. I called to get a 2nd fob and was told I could not get one without purchasing another complete unit which comes with 2 fobs. I told him that I would program it to the home link instead and I was told that it can't be done on an 08 just 05's and 06's. Something about the homelink systems, so I'll just use my one fob.

Hi Everyone,

We make several great controllers for the bi-mode exhaust.

If you want to control the NPP exhaust from the universal visor remote on a 2007-2013 car you will need the Exhaust Commander car2u.

The basic wireless controllers cannot be programmed to the universal visor, unless you have a 2005 or early 2006 (first 6 months of production). Otherwise you need Exhaust Commander car2u.

Also check out our Exhaust Commander Elite.

It's the most advanced NPP controller every made. It turns your Corvette keyfob and door lock button into the exhaust controller. Check out the video below.

For the basic keyfob remote NPP controller we have Exhaust Commander one button.

It has a simple install, and easy operation.

All of our controllers carry a lifetime warranty!

If you have any questions, let us know.

Is their any way to delete these before muffler and aft muffler valves without triggering a cell code?

There are no valves before the mufflers, nor does removal of the vacuum pots that control the flaps on the exhaust tips set the check engine light if they're removed.

Either system works well. I have M2W and like it. Search You Tube and you'll find a video to make your own M2W for about $25. You can get the exact same remotes (2) from Amazon that come with the M2W kit. The fuse tap you can get from any parts store - they come in 2 sizes - make sure you get the right one. You'll then have the exact same items you get in the M2W kit. There are videos on You Tube describing the M2W installation - just follow the instructions exactly. The whole installation takes less than 10 minutes.
