Installation Process :

Step 1: Fold down the passenger footwell carpet to reveal the fuse panel area.

Step 2:Pull the two fuses that the arrows are pointing to.
In the photo the fuses are already pulled out.

Step 3: Install the fuse adapter as shown in the top fuse slot.
Install the exhaust fuse signal wire into the left side of the exhaust fuse slot as shown,
and tie down the ground ring under the 7mm bolt on the amplifier as shown.

Step 4: Place the main unit underneath the amplifier.

Step 5: Use the supplied unique code to sync the Lear Car2U visor to the main unit.

Step 6:Fold the passenger footwell carpet back into place.

You are all done!

Of course my Callaway GS does not have the NPP exhaust, but my XLR-V does. I have the exhaust controller that requires the use of the remote. My question is... can I simply replace the current box on my XLR-V with the "exhaust commander" box to enable me to use the visor controls?

If so, I would be interested in purchasing the exhaust commander so I can stop fishing for the remote whenever I need it. Thanks!

It will indeed work on the Xlr-V.

Go ahead and follow the link to purchase it. In the notes section state that its for an xlr. That way we can set up the controller for the xlr.

Remove and replace your current controller with new one.

The day I picked up my '10 GS my salesman installed one of these while I was signing the paperwork. Literally just a few minutes including programming the visor. I bought the optional remote so I can stand at the back of my car to demo what I think is one of the coolest extras on my car. I can't imagine not having one!

Thanks!

Just installed the exhaust commander on my 427 Vert. Ten minute job, including programing the visor buttons. Works great!
Very good product.

I have one of these gadgets and I love it! I get to be vulgar when the wife is not in the car and one button push on the visor and it's stock quiet to keep the little woman happy.

This thing is great!

Elmer,

Thanks for the post!

Its always great to get feedback from people who are using the Exhaust Commander car2u unit!

Its a great way to control your bi mode exhaust without needed an extra fob.

I am interested in your product but have a couple questions

If I don't get the "remembers last mode" what mode does it start in.... would it be like it was stock ? and would open at 3500rpm ?

If I don't get the fob, is there programing issues that may come up ?

Thank you,
JIM

Hi Jim,

If you do not get the "Remembers last setting" option you get to choose which position it starts in each time the car starts up.

You can choose:

1: Car starts in factory operation and will open at the factory rpm.
or
2: Car starts in Loud mode and is open all the time.

Then you can switch back and forth between the modes using the universal visor remote.

You can also change the startup selection at any time.

The fob is not needed for programming, its only needed if you want to control the exhaust when you are outside of the car.

Would this work on a B&B fusion exhaust installed on a C6 that did not originally have NPP installed?

Yes, this controller would replace the wireless keyfob remote controller that you have now.

With Exhaust Commander Car2U you can control your Fusion exhaust from the universal visor remote.

Doesn't affect the operation of the heated seats at all.

If you follow the link in the first post which takes you to the product ordering page. From there you can configure it with the options you would like and see the price.

Thanks!

Since I can't even get my Lear visor control to open the garage door, I think I'll keep my M2W switch.
