Greetings all!

PAL and iPod....Yes!
PAL and iPhone? ????????

Has anyone used the new GM PAL with an iPhone? How is the functionality with the iPhone and the factory nav? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Anyone have any images of the Pal and how it operates other than what is already on youtube?

My friend has the PAL in his '07, and he uses it with his 3Gs iPhone all the time. The PAL is not a "compatible" iPhone device, so every time he connects it, he gets the "Do you want me to go into Airplane Mode?" dialog. He presses "No" and carries on.

Charges fine, plays music fine, but you can't direct calls, etc, through the Navigation screen.

If I use the PAL unit, will I lose my XM?

You lose one of the XM preset sets. I think it's XM2 on the selector. XM continues to work fine, and your presets on XM1 are still there.
