[QUOTE=RED99;1560214515]... The BBB is a non profit organization that really has no pull. They can post past histories that you can see for yourself, but they cant force anyone to pay up. For that you need the branch of local government that has to do with commerce and consumer fraud. They can work with any other states commerce agencies to work miracles. ...
The BBB is good for prevention. The Department of Commerce's Consumer Fraud Division is good for everthing else.

You are right, the BBB doesn't have much pull. Even though I have had good success with them. But I use them more or less for feedback for other people. If I get burned, then I want everyone else to know about the business. Anyone smart should log onto to the BBB and check out that business before doing any kind of business with them. Unless it's a small value item, or I know the company, I always look there first and see if there has been many complaints. It only takes a minute online.

i just dropped my car off with MTI and i talked to david, seemed to be great and warned me ahead of time they were very busy and would take about 3 weeks to do my car
i am very impressed with the honesty and recommendations he has given me and all the things he has done to help with price
i guess i will have to see when i get the car back, i get mixed reviews on them

Eric,
First and Foremost let me apologize for this incedent. I was not aware of this until reading this post. I normally cruise on LS1tech when I have time but I plan on spending more time on this board.
The parts were ordered in late 2006 from Ray, the previous sales manager who used to work here. He is no longer employed by MTI. I am the new sales manager here and when I took over in January there were multiple problems like this....so this does not surprise me one bit. What happened with your order is unacceptable and I aim to make it right.
I openly invite anyone in this thread or on this message board to give MTI a shot at ordering parts. Alot has changed in the last few months in the way of customer service and that is my number 1 priority. Most customers that come through are shop leave satisfied, unfortunately with the volume that we do here sometimes things do get overlooked.
Eric you have a check in the mail for the full refund, you should recieve this tommorow. If anyone else has any problems or questions please feel free to give me a call. There is always to sides the story, I hoped this has shed some light on the situation and I look forward to helping anyone who has any concerns.
Thanks

Locking this one since it appears all parties with direct knowledge of the situation have had a chance to post their version of the facts. I'll also be reviewing the post to determine which/if any posts are in conflict with Forum rules on posting about unresolved disputes:

This issue between master blaster and MTI came up two months ago, at which time it appeared that the parties were working together offline to resolve their dispute. I edited the thread to remove the inappropriate participation of some Forum members who had no direct knowledge of the dispute and asked master blaster and/or MTI to let me know the resolution of the dispute so I could add it to the locked thread:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1660419
I didn’t hear anything from either party and was surprised to see this thread indicating the problem was never resolved. I’ve communicated with David Coates at MTI, who acknowledges that MTI dropped the ball on the issue with master blaster’s refund. David said, “that is being handled today - he will have the check tomorrow.”
Master blaster, let me know when you get the refund and I’ll add that information to this thread.
Again, in this thread I’ve edited out a number of posts that did not relate directly to the dispute between master blaster and MTI. A few of the comments are those from Forum members who have a history of bashing vendors, but as I’ve told David at MTI, there were a number of people in the thread who posted about specific unrelated issues they have had with MTI.
I would encourage those posters to contact David directly to let him know about any pending unresolved disputes at MTI. I’ve told David to expect to hear from those involved and have encouraged him to work with those Forum members who contact him about unresolved issues.
After that has taken place, if the issues remain resolved, Forum rules allow for the posting of a factual account of the dispute by the person who is involved in the dispute. Likewise, MTI will be entitled to post its version of the facts and then the thread will be locked and go into the archives.
