Default Another new stock best, still in a little shock :-)

Was scheduled for a track rental on Friday but high winds and 20 degree temps caused that to be postponed so some of us in on the rental decided to go to the track on it's final weekend of the season.
We had some of the air that we'd hoped for the day before but the track/prep wasn't quite as strong as we'd have liked (very cold ground ).
Car is my still bone stock A6.
Spun bad on the first pass but it was kind of fun doing a one hundred foot burnout.
Then things got good:

60'.......1.91 (ironically, my second worst 60' of the day)
1/8th...7.95
MPH.....91.08
1/4......12.21

MPH.....115.45

Backed it up with a 12.23 and a 12.24 and even topped that already unbelieveable 115.45mph with a 115.91mph on the 12.23 pass, just hitting 115s at all still boggles my mind.

I knew the car had an outside chance/potential to maybe hit a 12.29 and even crack into the 114s in the right conditions but I NEVER expected to see these kind of numbers and I certainly never even dreamed of ever being able to see the top spot on that stock LS2 C6 list.
Very happy with this car right now.

Wow, Marc, great passes.

What a fine way to close out the season. PR on the final runs. Great job.

See you next season.

I knew your car had a 12.2 in it Marc, but now I honestly think it'll go 12.1s under ideal conditions!! I wanted an 06 pretty badly before, but now I want one ten times more!!!

Not me.

First of all, the A6 is a different animal than the A4.

Second, we all know that the torque converter is a benefit for 60's times.

Third, almost exactly two years ago, I was the fastest C6 to date on the forum with a 12.49 run. I said then, and I still say that if we get some serious drag racers staying stock that we would see 12.0 times.

Fourth, I give credit to all times published. I'm a manual guy through and through, but you'll never see me bashing automatics.

You are now KING OF THE HILL for stock C6's! Sure makes me feel better about getting the A6 so my wife could drive the car.

I predicted this day would come

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...p?p=1557109792 post#37.

It won't be long before the A6 holds the top 5 or so spots on that list. Under good conditions like those, 11.9X seems to be doable on drag radials.
