Default LS1 Swap R4 A/C brackets

After a ton of time in design they are finally done. I fabricated a bracket kit that alowes me to use an R4 style compressor (third gen camaro and firebird and possibly a few other applications) with my LS1. I am currently using them in my 82 Corvette. I designed brackets for the F-body accessories and the Corvette accessories. The stock stock A/C lines bolt right up with this setup. These are far superior to the nearest competitor and they were very reasonable for me to make. The kit includes the brackets, spacers, hardware, smooth pulley, and serp belt. Please drop me a pm or e-mail me if you have any questions.

hope this helps a few of you out with your A/C questions.

So that kit, is if for all the serpentine brackets, or just the parts pertaining to the A/C compressor?

It is just the parts relating to the A/C

Cool, and will that kit work with all LS engines?

Very cool idea.

thanks, I put alot of time and thought into the design.

It will work with all LS engines with the corvette or f-body accessories.

Don't know about the truck accessories yet, I think that I would have to make longer spacers because everything is out farther?

I suppose changing accessories wouldn't be too hard, but if I get an LS in the future for my next Vette I will probably get a truck engine. Much cheaper that way, and then do cam, head, and intake swaps.

Very nice design and at a reasonable price. Maybe you are the guy we need to build some brackes for R&P steering or Jeep box installation.

I had a friend that did a 6.0 swap into a 280Z and he had to switch to the f-body accessories because he used an LS6 intake. The truck accessories had some sort of interference with the LS6 intake. Something like that, If you want I can call him and find out what exactly it was.

Thanks, if you guys need help with stuff I am always open to give it a shot. I have cad and am very fluent with the software, and I have connections with great machinists.

I think this thread is still on topic are we are talking of fabrication.

Maybe your sofware would aid in the design of a plate to install a Jeep box as Silverslashstreak did; http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1927066

Many of us would be interested in that over some of our other options.

Wow, very nice brackets. That is what I was asking about and you responded with the brackets. Very nice design and it looks sturdy. I am still indecisive on an LS or BB. I'll know soon and if I go LS I will be looking for your brackets.

Just a few notes.

I now offer a premium kit. It has aluminum brackets and spacers instead of steel and it has stainless allen head hardware. I will have pics of this kit installed soon!

The kit is made to order so there is a 4 week lead time, it could be sooner, it just depends on how busy my machinist is. I cannot afford to stock the kit as of now.

I was asked this question the other day. There is no warranty on the kit and I assume no liability when it comes to the kit or installation. I am just a corvette/camaro guy trying to help a few others out, I am not a business. But rest assured that the kit is top quality, I skimped nowhere, no cheep crap. I had over 80 hours into designing/fitting the kit.

Also I have just found a source for a compressor if you feel that you need a new compressor.

here are a few more pics.

Hi I was looking through the forum and I came across your AC bracket on the LS1...
I am working on a 78 corvette swap with an LS1 and as you know the AC compressor needs relocating, Any way I was thinking if your are still able to reproduce this bracket? and can you make one for me. This would help me immensely in not having to reconstruct one of my own.

Can you help
Thanks Victor
