Update: Neucleus iPod adapter battery drain
Reference thread.
After removal of the Neucleus NC-X2i iPod adapter, I am no longer having problems with the battery discharging in 36-48 hours. The techs reported a 3A draw on the battery even with the car turned off.
So, at least for C6's with the Bose/Nav head unit like mine, I have to recommend against this unit.

It will keep the audio powered after shutdown. Even if the IPOD devise has been unplugged, this devise must be removed from the vehicle completely. The devise triggers the Bus to maintain power even when the devise is not powered.

Yeah, I'm watching for GM's version, too. I'm just afraid it will require a complete head unit replacement to get it into an '06, which will make it a pretty pricey option. I hope not, but I've always had the worst luck with car audio.

Nucleus iPod Adapter
I just installed the Nucleus iPod adapter in my '06 Z (XM & NAV) and it works great with no battery drain. I spoke with the guys that manufacture the unit (American International 800-336-6500) and mentioned my "battery drain" concern. He said the latest version (X2i W/NC-GM32T Cable) has an automatic sleep mode, so no worries. Feel free to call them, very nice & helpful attitude.
