I had it on my 78 and it was fine with the stock single snorkel air cleaner. I'd recommend the Edelbrock Performer or Performer EGR over it - they perform a little better and IIRC come in cheaper....

Three screws hold each side panel on, the rear most one is obfuscated by the seat. The front most one is easy to access, and the one in the middle I believe is accessible by moving the seat back.
