Keep the battery charged, that and no engine driven fan kills alternators.

Read about where the people who track cars get rotors. If they run stock brakes they throw rotors away all the time.

check the voltage out back. If the voltage is low the pump will be weak. Maybe a new fuel pump relay?. Doesn't some company make a wiring upgrade kit because of something like this?

I got a seal kit from Rock Auto for an 87 rack. not even $20 if I remember. Get the cheapest kit, they're all the same. At least Edelman and Gates were.

Those modules are the same on all GMs from about 85-90 with C68 AC
Some might have different mounting but they are the same...
