yes i had someone bring up th LS-6 and LS-7 point in a thread i started in engine mod's - i was thinking that the LS-7 was the motor that was put into chevelles and supposed to be in the vette, but...

i realize this. part of the rebuild /dropping compression is camming the motor to kick in at about 2 grand or so. i generally only need power when im above 2k rpms so it seems like the logical...

i can tell it will cost a bit to swap the motor, i had planned on about a two thousand dollar fund that i would need to complete it. i still have plenty of time...

heh, unfortunately it isnt the aluminum block one, however the LS-6 was put into the corvette, it was a 454 rated at about 425 horse i think. the LS-7 is the block you are talking about, rated at 465...

you know if you took that car kit and bought it sans the engine you could build a different, more common 3.0 chrysler engine up with a slight overbore...
