Mustang dyno calibration can be tweaked to look like a dynojet. I believe it adds on the order of 10-12%

I ran a dyno dynamics for about 5 years. Many of our customers headed straight to a dynojet...

The pedestals are machined as are the bottoms. I’m failing to see how the rest matters?
If I had any complaint it would be the depth of pedestals. Just have to be sure the rocker tip is straight...

Failure of the thrust bearing surface (middle bearing) isn’t uncommon in the LS world. Especially in auto transmission engine swap scenarios.

Maybe post the tune?
MAF only will run great.
2000 and earlier C5’s have the dual VE table setup and are basically a pain in the butt to do VE tuning. So on the dyno, more time = mo money.
2001...

Cool. A few degrees isn’t a big deal. Obviously a thermistor isn’t a linear device. About the only valid test is if IAT matches ECT on a stone cold engine. I suppose a guy could dunk the MAF in ice...

The mph in the 1/4 mile match the low dyno figures. For a 6.0 I'd say it's on its lips for some reason.
I'd like to see the dyno sheet. As well as the tune file and data log of the pull.

Put my Performabuilt and Yank SS3600 in the car in 2012. Performabuilt advised not to mess with shift pressure as their custom shift kit takes care of all that. So I didn’t.

When I bought my 2000 A4 with the 3.15 gears, I took it to the dragstrip. It ran a whopping 14.3 @ 97 mph. Now that’s slow. My Cobalt SS is faster.

Prev owner had replaced the stock MAF with the...

I’m not sure what MAF the 05 used, I’ll assume the 85mm round one.
The orig LS1 MAF is much smaller. With different calibration data. It would be a step backwards.

By all means, use a GM sensor....

Would be a major pain to put in that harness then rework it for the original ecu.
I suppose you could use a 97-98 ecu, but why?

That’s a big change in rear tire size. Essentially kills the gear ratio.
A4 has two possible ratios. 2.73 or 3.15. If it’s a 2.73 it will be on its lips.
The factory wheels are pretty light. A lot...

Stick shift or auto?
Stock rear tires are 26” tall. How tall are the new ones?
And lastly, how much heavier are they than the stock wheels?

An HPT data log of those runs that includes AFR would tell a lot.
Dynos aren’t dragstrips.
I agree that thing should be 130+

Shoot, my auto trans C5 trapped 123 with the NA 346.

You can do that. Just enter linear and offset for the 2 bar map. Works fine.

MAF only doesn’t work in the custom 2 or 3 bar OS.

I would imagine these tuners just don’t want to deal with the 98 ecu. Not sure why. They certainly can be tuned for a mid 11 second C5. They just aren’t as easy as the 99-03 ecu.
