They are new also. Most everything is new except the actual rear end and the 2 short drive shafts. But there is minimal play.

Yes it was a barn/garage find. It had set for 10years. The old guy kept thinking some day he would have the money to fix it. 4 years 500 hours and $15000.00 and I'm still working on it.

Actually I replaced the fluid, then the rear housing cracked. About 7000 miles ago. Purchased a heavy duty housing and put Valvoline. LA in it the 2nd time.

A set of stock height springs are probably needed anyway, you just don't know it yet. I put a set of MOOG springs on the front of mine.

Let me say this... an honest 280 rear wheel horsepower is fun.
1900 rpm at 70mph is cruising and 21mpg is better than my wife's Toyota Highlander.
Around town I have to be careful not to to squeal...

It puts out 280hp to the rear wheels and gets +20mpg

Is that enough horsepower or do you need more?
