This is only for the early c6 -2008, the newer ones seem significantly different looking at the wiring diagrams

I'd did some searching for this info and didn't have any luck so I figured I would...

No luck, I jumped the body and the engine to the battery just to make sure. Is there a chance this is vats related? I don't know what that system consists of on these cars

Apparently the can bus runs through the abs...

Apparently the can bus runs through the abs module. I reconnected it and can now connect with the scanner. No codes. Still won't start though
