so in a local junk yard i found a 93 vet with low miles and they say it has a 7004r in it for cheap, is it really a 7004r and will bolt right up ?
so say a A 90 TO 93 auto trans from a vet can used ?

So according to the specs, I can use any Corvette 1982-1993 TH700-R4/4L60 as a direct swap ? or a GM TH700-R4/4L60 if I change out a few parts ?

Yeah adding a external trans cooler can't hurt.
Why not lay down the trans ? If I pull it, I might as well throw a rebuild kit in it vs just replacing pump seal o-ring.

Drove a mile to get gas, jumped out on the main road and opened her up for a quick high speed run, no leaks. If I do the same thing after the engine has warmed up it will blow out oil everywhere....
