They just pull off. I took them out, cleaned them up and then used some caulk around the edge and pushed them in. Keeps them from moving around and falling out.

The best thing I did to cut the heat to the interior is to put a shut off valve to the heater core (installed in the engine compartment) and put reflectix stuff (it is home AC ducting insulation)...

Thanks all. Good options and they are all cheaper than my idea. I like that. I don't think my wife has ever been in the vette before, she thinks its a money pit (always right).

That is what I did with mine and it really sped the motor up. Nothing fancy. I connected mine to the bracket for the ac compressor temporarily because it was easy to get to and it works fine.

I had overheating problems on my 79 because it did not have one on it. Put it on and cooled it right down. It really does help and you really need that extra air going up there.
