It is either the gear or the motor itself. You didn't indicate if the motor tries to move or start or make humming noise. Also it could be a headlight module which I have a spare one I can give you....

DarrellWhat we did find out is that the 3rd brake light was the problem. What I had to do is switch off the strobe mode and run it thru all the testing by not using any resistors and it works fine...
