Ok, so the rear upper shock mount on my C5Z, the threaded hole that bolts the shock mounting plate to the frame has stripped out. Normally it is an M8 x 1.25mm pitch thread. Has anyone had any luck...

1st/2nd gear synchro has a snap ring that failed causing grinding into 1st gear. This is a typical failure on the transmission. In any case, transmisison was rebuilt with new synchros/rings/pads.

best bet is to get the gearset you want (27 spline) and have the pinion gear machined for 30 spline (assuming a 30 spline output shaft). I think RPM transmissions can do this.
