My '65 is a driver and gets an occasional wipe down with hot water, using the two bucket system. Takes care of tree sap and light build-up around the wheel wells and rockers.

Once you get the gasket on correctly (I used adhesive to attach the gasket to the glass) lay the assembly into the widow frame. The weight of window will hold it in the correct position.

I leave mine unlocked also. The only thing I have to do is reteach the key fobs, easy, just hold down the lock & unlock buttons at the same time until the horn beeps (about 10 sec.)
