then figure out which resistor value is in your key and look up the range, get a resistor of the right value and solder it into the PASS key...

This can be caused by the tan stop bumpers being deformed by the headlight mechanism over time. Try removing them and put them back on 180 degrees from where they were originally. See if that helps!
