Thanks for the comments guys, The BTE converter came with the correct shims and the converter was installed about 1/8 inch off the pump with plenty of snout in the crank. Still have not figured it...

I used lizard skin on my frame off but I can't imagine trying to spray it in the cockpit of an intact ride due to the overspray. I would go with the mat products.

Assuming that the upper end (cam, valve springs, rockers, ect) are good to 7800 rpm's what is the bottom end on a stock LS-7 able to handle. In other words, what chip would you put in your 6-AL MSD?...
