Did you look to see if the factory clip is still on the bottom of the knob?Its recessed into the leather knob.It comes out with a small screw driver.

It's not the intake ports that leak coolant .It's the bolt holes.I had this problem with my accel base.You need to put RTV on the bolts before you put them in.I did this and never had the problem...

Run the AFR heads with the valves they come with. Put in a 383 Scat rotating assembly .A comp cams 268 HR cam and you will get what you are looking for in performance.
