Best of luck to the OP. I agree with the general consensus here, but the door stress crack thing is indeed rather interesting. I checked my 2008 yesterday and have some sort of crack there as well....

When I sold my last C6, I opted for a loaded 2500 crew cab 4x4 with Duramax/Allison 6 speed. Added a tuner and was running at 450HP. It wasn't a C6, but it would move pretty well for a HD...

My guess is that it is spliced into the XM module in the back. That's what I did with my 2008 with NAV. Plug in the iPod, turn it on, and hit the XM button on the radio and see if you get sound.
