FWIW, before you order any parts you need to find out whether it is a L48 or L82 block (if indeed it is a 79 block). For some parts it matters. Dont go by the vin but post a pic of the stamp pad...

Hard to believe but this 79 was sold at Mecum last July for 10K..Listed as unrestored. Someone got a steal at that price. Previously at Mecum in May 2023 it sold for $14K.
Think there is some wiggle...

If you feel that the present system is loud then don't get the Magnaflows. With a 3.70 rear that you have, 70mph is about 3200 rpm, so you would not be happy.
