Looks like a shot of nitrous on top of what ever else you have going on in this car?? Either way, that is some insane power! Congrats!

Theta 03-13-2014 07:40 PM

This is starting the beg the question of 'how in the hell are these stock bottom-ends holding down 250-300% rated power'?

Very nice.

carlrx7 03-13-2014 08:01 PM

Didn't say it was a stock bottom end.

Theta 03-13-2014 08:03 PM

This is true, but I believe the last 1000-hp dyno they ran was, indeed, on the stock bottom end.

A&A Superchargers are very gentle on "stock" bottom ends.

chuntington101 03-14-2014 08:32 AM

Great work LMR! How much N2O did you use?

This is the same car the engine was out a few weeks ago... Looking like built shortblock/heads & cam/YSI/Nitrous (roughly 125 shot?)... I could be wrong, just thinking out loud.

venomws7 03-14-2014 09:11 AM

Awesome work congrats LMR and Vengeace for pushing these C7s to the limits.

its 150shot from the video I saw not sure if its stock bottom or not.

CFHay 03-14-2014 11:43 AM

You guys were so close to making 1000rwhp on boost only, was it just not there or what?

Very nice.

way back in the day i pushed a 150whp VW VR6 stock short block to 460whp

lived for 24k miles then a rod finally went (stock motor had 109k on the clock when it happened)

I think stock engines are built much stronger than anyone will let on. With a proper tune i see no reason why these LT1s couldnt live at 800hp all day long

Sorry, left my rod & reel at the house.....Just going by what LMR posted a few weeks back.

You seem to have an agenda given your comments in this thread, but LMR/Vengeance and several other top shops in the country all work together. We are extremely excited to see the guys raise the bar yet again.

It's nice to see that this is becoming the norm, rather than the exception.

In a time when most companies are cutting back to save on production costs, it's impressive to see an engine like this emerge in such a stout form!

I personally think its just a matter of quality control and manufacturing processes that have improved over the years. Tighter tollerances and better manucaturing methods make for better parts.

I still wish they would put forged slugs and rods in these things though, at the production level the cost difference would be next to nothing. Pretty sure all of us would be fine with a $50 price increase for forged hard parts!

Our setup is a built bottom end, YSI blower and a small shot of N20. We continue to work with Vengeance and other shops to improve the performance and reliability of these fantastic cars. At the end of the day we want to put the best product out there that we can for the corvette enthusiast.

DOUG @ ECS 03-14-2014 02:59 PM

Thought i wanted a C6 Z06 or even a C7 or Camaro or well its an ever changing list

But reading up on mods and the power they are making - hard to look away.

Keep up the good work

Good job guys!

This is how it should be, too bad this industry is so damn cut throat. Working together helps not only the masses, but, each other as well.

Just got my C7 back from LMR this morning. All I can say is WOW!!!! This thing is a total BEAST!!! The torque is Crazy and the internet audio doesn't begin to do justice to the roar this thing spits out when you hit the gas! I didn't want to drive home.

Thanks LMR,
:rock::rock::rock:
You all are the best!

Thank you for all the nice words guys. We really have been working really hard to do a lot of R&D on this new platform so we will be able to provide our customers with a reliable combination that they can enjoy.

The Texas TX2K14 Event is in town this weekend so I didn't have much time to tune the car after engine was installed, just one afternoon. After this event, and when we get caught back up at the shop I will put her back on dyno for more tuning. She WILL make over 1000RWHP on boost only and then add an even bigger shot to find our limits. We need to know what fails first but we have a pretty good idea what will(from past experience from LS engines) exactly what is going to happen. More to come....

Are you planning to put the car on the TX2K14 1/4 mile ?

Its raining today, so event cancelled for today. We just installed some prototype driveline parts so we might try and put them to the test. If not this weekend we will soon. Have a lot of customer cars here to support.
