Supercharged C7 (pic inside)
Sooo it seems Lingenfelter is hard at work with their shop C7. I think they are gonna need a new hood here soon...

Where'd I see that picture before? :leaving:

Hold on a second sirz! Is this Heads and cam AND SCing?? Or different cars with two mod routes?? Seem like the same car idk.
|
Wow!
The Sticker glue is still drying on the Lingenfelter car. Amazing! |
Is that an Eaton or Whipple twin-screw blower ? Looks too short to be an Eaton.
|
I like how they are NOT posting some "hype no data thread"
and just getting to work! |
Boy! that was fast!!! yeeeshh!

After poking around, I'm pretty sure that's a Whipple installed backwards to minimize intake manifolding. There must be a shaft on the right side for the power takeoff, like a Magnacharger set-up. Whipple Twin-screws are much better blowers than the Eaton Roots blowers used on the ZR1 - more efficient. That means 1/2 the power takeoff and 1/2 the temperature rise in the charge for the same pressure ratio. This thing is gonna be a monster !! I'd guess 650-700 HP, easy !!
|
Oh dear!!! That was fast! Much faster than I would have expected. I would have figured we would be waiting months to see this kind of progress. I cant wait to see the final numbers!
That said, is that thing actually bolted down or is it just sitting on an aluminum plate on top of the block? |
Actions speaks louder than words.
I wonder if Callaway has started. I know the project is named C20. |
They are advertising a tad over 600 for 22k.

I wonder if Callaway has started. I know the project is named C20. In fact, we have a host of products under development for the new Stingray :flag: coming soon... www.callawaycars.com |

I went from 300 (261whp) to 550 (479.9whp) in my stang for $5,500 installed (by myself) and custom dyno tuned. Included a new fuel pump, injectors, blower, intercooler fmic, and all the other essential goodies. I hate this package ******** that makes you spend all this extra money. Gimme the power and nothing more, k thx bye. Now I understand a TVS2300 is a more expensive unit than a Vortech V3 with 900hp capable 3 core front mount intercooler, but not by $17,000. |
Looks interesting. Lt1 set to make nice numbers.

Wait, 600hp for 22k? Is everything encrusted with diamonds?

The only other Corvette tuner out there that comes close is Lingenfelter. Those are the only companies that would get my money for a Corvette. |
I'm curious to see what the LT1 will be able to do NA, because NA > FI any day for a sports car.
From the looks of things about the same as this package for less coin. |

We do deliver powerfully engineered packages for GM vehicles, with o.e. fitment and finish, designed to exceed one's expectations. And with a powertrain warranty which works with the GM PT Warr., peerless in the industry. Nobody else can truthfully say this, period. |

Callaway is not selling a "kit", so that is really not an accurate post about costs :nono:
