you mindless creature... suede is a wearable destroyable fabric. Porsche uses alcantara instead, which is superior.
And yes, they do have holes in the seats as an option you mindless ..... good luck with life. |

Alcantara is more durable but it's also polyester. I prefer to sit on real cow and not fake cow, just like I prefer to eat real cow and not fake cow. :)
Other companies who use alcantara... lol... lamborghini. Ferrari. Audi. Konigsegg. Mclaren. |
have you ever even sat in a car with alcantara, or did your local chevy salesman tell you it sucks and you believed him? lol
|
and yes, its the same price as suede, so once again, chevy had no excuse to fail. But they did.

debating and disagreeing about cars with a guy who owns 18 car dealerships is always a great plan ;)

You are like whatshisname who says he has such influence with BG line workers and execs and yet comes on here to ask simple questions anyone with that kind of stroke could find out in a second. |

Most of the whining/bitching is coming from C6 owners that somehow feel they and their Cars are diminished by the advent of a newer/better Vette. Instead of celebrating a whole new chapter in the story of the Vette, they chose to pick nits. In a few MYs I predict that most, if not all, will extoling the virtues of their new C7. :yesnod:
Thanks! I needed a laugh today :yesnod: |

great, you may as well buy leather, because after your amazing rear end sweats a couple times, that suede will be ruined.
Other companies who use alcantara... lol... lamborghini. Ferrari. Audi. Konigsegg. Mclaren. That's my point. I don't order it. I like leather. Polyester is for wimps. :) |

Do you have a C7 on order? Or are you getting one in a "few" years? Or are you a poseur GM intern?
How did all the other Sports cars mentioned lose weight by having the same or better technology and same mandatory safety regs? OTD in CA you will be closer to $70K than $52K. Nice try newbie. I answered the OPs question like an adult without getting personal. Try it sometime and don't act like a butthurt D-Bag. It's not a family member it's a car. |
I know it weighs more, but I'm happy to retract it since they are made from the same size block i believe. The point is, they can't lighten a car if they are adding weight to it, which they have to do.

Dry sump setup was an add on on ls7 vs the ls2, which added quite a bit of weight, plus extra oil. I wasn't thinking when I wrote that, but I was used to the cars gaining weight from the ls2 to the ls7.

Looks like about 25 lbs, which is likely the dry sump system. They essentially weigh about the same, they have the same bore spacing but the LS7 has a larger bore and longer stroke. There should be no weight gain in the engine compartment when compared to the base C7 with the dry sump. |
I had 50lb in my head bc I knew a guy who did before and after weights, and that included oil and coolant and supporting accessories, radiator, etc. he picked up over 50 lb.
|
can't you people find anything else to discuss? :beatdeadhorse:
|
But, correct, in the c7, since dry sump is already standard, there should be no gains in weight.
My other weight increases still stand as realistic. |
