Ease up, it was joke, I'm not a negative guy. I've been reading the thread since day one. The problem was solved and it was time to end it, that's all, don't read more than that into my comment. Have a nice day... :D

I encountered a 240 Z with a similar problem. Owner had changed EVERYTHING in the cooling system and it would overheat on the highway above 55mph after about 10 minutes. The car could idle all day and never overheat. The answer was a small pin hole in the vacuum advance diaphram that would allow the timing to slowly retard in a cruise condition. This caused an excessively HOT cylinder condition which overloaded the design of the cooling system capabilities. Draw a 21" HG vacuum on the diaphram and monitor the gauge for 3 or 4 minutes , it should NOT loose any vacuum, if so, the diaprahm is defective.

did he ever check to see if the new water pump was a reverse rotation pump by mistake
