You do realize that you are High 3 so staying those 3 extra months will only increase your retirement pay by a very small amount. Your final pay will be based on the average of your last 36 months actual basic pay. But on the plus side that would give you full COLA for 2016 since you plan to retire after Jan 1 rather than before. Just wanted you to know so you don't pass up an opportunity thinking you will get more than you actually will.

24 years 6mos. USAF. After many years of my son telling I needed a corvette, I got a GS this last year. My son has had many vettes over the years and after 25 years of driving a 87 Toyota Turbo Supra I was in need of a little updating. Give the Supra to him to go with his Z06. I am totally enjoy the GS. Don't miss the manual Supra at all, but I still get to see it when I want. :thumbs:

4 Years USAF E4, 33 Years Civil Service, 5 years DOD civilian contractor, completely retired Jan 2013, yeah :D

I medically retired from the Army last July after 20 years. I had hoped to stay a few more years, but my body said it was time to go.

20 years 1 month 3 days. Retired CW4 Army Aviator Cobra & Apachie

Retired E-7 USAF C-141B/C-17A Aircraft Mechanic 22.5 yrs (May 1989 Oct 2011). Lots of awesome friends and times to have been had!

Retired with 26 another 10 as Police Officer, injured in a structer fire disabled from PD. Love My C6 we all earned them the hard way.

US Army Retired 22yrs 1976-1998.

After 23 years, 7 months and 11 days I'd Been All I Could Be. I now have 14 years as a Parkway Patriot and a 2011 A6 Blade Silver LS3 Coupe to enjoy the 64 mile round trip commute! Life is good.

Retired in 1993. Served 29 years as Army officer. Have owned Corvettes for past 30 years. Currently have a C6.

US Navy 1996-2006. I was on my way to 20+, but ended up getting medically separated. My pops did 20 in the USN and my Grandfather flew B-17's over Europe.
