Not in the military, but do 33+ years with the DoD as a civilian count? (Department of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command and Air Combat Command)

22 years in the Air Force as a crew chief. Retired in 2003 as a Master Sergeant.

Now I have 2 years in Civil Service. Took awhile to get in, but happy to be here.

Army (RC)- 27 years and counting. Did the first 22 as enlisted, took a direct commission as a 1SG and am now a Captain.

All that baby-sitting wore me out :willy:

Retired in 1998 after 21 years as a Marine Corps criminal investigator with multiple tours overseas. Served with Marine Corps military police, CID, and NCIS. I worked out in Nevada for a year after retirement, then returned to the Defense Department as a civilian. Been with DoD ever since....Great gig

21 years USAF; 21 years Federal Government. 2007 coupe.

30 years, USAF. Retired CMS. Mostly flight line maint. C-130s and F-111F. Would do it again exactly the same.
