I'm going to buy a Range Rover Evoque!
|
I'm Impressed Can't wait to see it in person
|
Yeah I will be buying one.
|
Used C6's just jumped in price by 10% IMHO....................
|
Suddenly I hate the C6.
|
Man that red vette is epic!
|
THAT IS BADASS, AND I LOVE IT!!!!!
STINGRAY IS BACK! We'll have one next year. Roger |
love the front but that rear end....i'm just not sure about
|
I love the looks, and I love the mileage, but I'm still waiting for final power and curb weight specs. Not "estimates".
So far, I like it. |
Gonna get one.
|
It's edgy. They're taking a gamble. Many people won't like it. They're clearly trying to attract a new audience, rather than pander to the usual "Old white man" crowd.
|
It's a home run, no, a Grand Slam!
I want one badly. |
Awesome! The C6 prices are falling as we speak.....
|
It's looks great! I will get one.
|
This car is BEGGING for me to DRIVE IT!..............I'm a FAN!

Looks awesome/:thumbs:

My first impression is that the car needs to be black. There are way too many styling distractions on the car. It gives is a Japanese look to me. The basic shape looks good, and the back looks better than I expected - especially given that the lower part is blacked out - that is the one thing that is not over done by being black.
|
I need to get a second job. I won't sell my FRC for one, but I want one bad now. :yesnod:
|
I would rather the rear panel be all or nearly all the body color and not so much black
|
I don't know guys. Not much power increase and not liking the camaro styled tail lights. Front end is nice. I would say I'm at a 50/50 split between that and a 2013 z06
|
Like it, but LOVE my C6 convertible!
Will reserve judgement for the release of the rag-top since my reservations are with the back end specifically with the B and C pillars... Different ball-game on a convertible. Not feeling it with the rear end (tail-lights) either BUT will have to see it in person... /r Allen |

The back though is another story. Actually, I'm okay with the tail lights. It's that black painted bottom and the tacky add-on spoiler I don't like. You know, as I look at it....the ass looks very C4ish. http://i47.tinypic.com/16jqwpx.png |

Still didn't give us the actual hp/tq rating. Only said estimated. And only 99# less! I've saved about that much with wheels/tires on my 08. Nice looking car though.
|
I can see where they pulled some of the sting ray into the design and feel they really did a good job of advancing the look of the C6. Clearly a different car and I think they did a great job on it.

I know now that if I buy one, it'll be black. |
It looks good but I just have to see it in person. From what I see so far I just may pull the trigger on the 2nd year model.
|
I will be dumping my V in '15 or '16 for one. Hopefully the next level up will be out by then.
|
NICE..............Good work GM you still got it:rock:

I like some of the changes and some of them I do not care for.
The weight savings is a plus although a little short on what was hoped for. The cylinder deactivation I am not fond off. The estimated 450 hp is no big deal but better than a reduction especially along with the weight savings. I find the passenger side grip handle a bit odd in that it separates the two seating areas a bit. The stiffer frame is a plus but I do not like the rear side glass. I will have to wait and see how the sight line is while in the seat and looking in the inside mirror. The front side view looking towards the rear down the body lines has me thinking of the FAT/WIDE C5 rear end, not sure how I feel about this but at first glance I did not like it. The interior upgrades in material and seating looks to be a big positive, hopefully. I guess for the guy that has to have the newest on the block this will be it, but I'm not mortgaging the house yet... At this juncture I would probably purchase a slightly used LS7 before the C7. But my 08 is a long term keeper so all this is just talk on my part... |
I actually teared up with the unveiling!! While I might have styled some parts differently, it seems to be a very exciting car. The interior is a huge improvement with some throwback to the C4.
So far.....I like it! And the first company to make after-market round tail lights could make a killing! :D But they also are not as bad as I anticipated. Just glad it's still alive and doing well....Corvette! |
I LIKE IT AND, WANT IT. Great job GM, my investment is paying off. LOL
|
If its priced right i'll be a buyer Can't wait to see it in person
|
I like the front and side view. Still not sold on the back end. I am sure the interior will be awesome. I will reserve judgement until I can see one in person. I honestly wish I was blown away by the styling but I am just not feeling it yet.

They missed with the Camaro, and they missed with this one too.
Maybe I'll get used to it. |
Love it!!!! Can't wait to see it in person!
|
I will have one, but need a widebody version. So C7Z for me.

I like it except the tail lights. They look like the ones on the crappy camaro and malibu.
|
I like it. but I also like all Corvettes.
|
I can't wait till Corvettes at Carlisle this year! Going to be one of the best years!
|
I like it more than I did the C6 when it made it's debut. GM definitely moved the ball forward in design and performance. I can't wait to see it in person.
I guess black wheels are still "in" as well. |
I like it. Probably be 5-10 years before I'll get one. The plan is to pay off the 08 early and trade the 99 on a C6Z. That would get me by for a few years.
|
I like everything about it except for the rear lights, they should be round or oval! The real killer is the wife loves it! Now if I could find a way to keep the 99 and get this....Hmmm. I could learn to live with the backend though!
|
I love it. It'll take some getting used to, as it is different (Nothing will be the same), but we will get used to it. I think the modern era for Corvette truly starts today. I can't wait to see it in person at the NYIAS. Bravo, GM, for the car and the way they revealed it.
 |
I think the front and side profile look really good. The car looks more grown up, but the rear I'm not sold on. I would have to see it in person. The interior looks like a step up from the c6 but still looks a little cheesy, again I need to see it in person to make any final judgement calls.

I guess black wheels are still "in" as well. This will grow on me personally faster than the C6 did (and I do like the C6). |
I seemed to recall people were not sold on the C6 rear either at first. They could have done better on the C7 rear end
|
I'm surprised that I agree with many of the comments. Yes, the goofy looking vents could be minimized if it was black, the front looks great but the rear is hideous (and the side isn't much better and the interior already looks dated - what a waste of 'effort'). Yes, this is obviously being pitched at youngsters. The red exterior paint looked awful with the completely mismatched red of the interior. And the ultra, ultra low profile tires? C'mon, that looks as bad as 22 inchers on a C6. Still, from the front, it appears at least one actual designer was involved.
On the other hand, the overall effect may be much better in person. |
Hmmm.......doesn't move me.........I'd say they hit a double.....which is still a hit.
:yesnod: |
Excellent! Glad I didn't buy that 911 (991)!
|
Dog
:willy:This is the ugliest Corvette since the 1997 C5. The current C6 is the best Corvettes since the 1963-1967 Stingrays. The rear of this car is the worst part of the car but in general it looks like a C6 that was customized by people with no sense of design or taste. :crazy2:GM has an annoying habit of snatching defeat from the mouth of victory. They ruined the Buick Enclave this year with a facelift. All I can say is I pray this dog is a leftover of the Wagner era and a new one is on the drawing table.

I'm getting one. :yesnod:
|
Should have called it a 300ZX, looks like a 1980 Datsun
|
was watching with my girlfriend...im 40, she is 30 and loves my C6...but not a corvette die hard....her reaction says it all " wow, looks like a ferrari with a camaro butt" her next reaction was " why does the instrument panel make a semi circle around the driver? looks dumb" all did was giggle and nod
jury out for me, im sure it will grow on me. |
:willy: who wants a low mileage C6 :willy:
|
Don't like it!. I knew it! I think it looks garish!. lot of Japanese, Euro and a (very) small bit of Vette all thrown in together.
More complex, many more gizmos, great for people who like to sit behind screens and push buttons. Rev matching is something I like doing myself, that is part of being involved with driving a machine. Hate the carbonfiber roof, If car cannot be all in one color that is not for me. And the interior!...my god, it looks just like the C4 after interior revamp in 91 or 92, and funnily enough, I hated that, always thought my 89 interior lay out was superior. They went with this C4 look and design with a partition separating the driver from the passenger again!...almost a carbon copy. I kind of thought this is what might happen, and went and ordered mine back in 11. Now I feel vindicated. I will go and kiss mine right now! But one persons hell is someone else's heaven. Hope it does well. |
I think it looks like a toy.
|
I think the price of a c6 just dropped a bit!
I like everything about it. Watched the unveiling live and was riveted. That one makes the c6 look like a girls car
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::canadaflag: |
I watched it...not impressed...I have to see it in person; the interior looks like they ressurrected the C4 dash (?). The rear looks like a Pontiac and that little Stingray emblem they are making a big deal about looks stupid as hell to me.
|
not too impressed

My quik impression was too much video and stand up talking, not enough camera shots of the exterior and interior of the car on the stage. I've seen more and can tell more from a Barrett-Jackson walk around in 3 minutes than this 22 minute introductory "reveal."
|
Phenominal car ! I am impressed . Another Home run for GM- this ones out of the ball park

And that was some very goofy car! |
Mixed feelings. It didn't awe me like the viper, when it came out. But in the end, I will probably buy one in blk and park it next to my torch red c6 GS.
|
I will be buying one either in black, cyber gray, blue or red with black interior, chrome wheels, 7 speed manual and Z51 package. Looking forward to seeing the car in person Thursday.:cool::thumbs::cheers:
|
Hope it grows on me...looks like a cross between a Ferrari and a Camaro imo. I'm sure it is an amazing car and I'd be lying if I didn't say I want one. Not in the budget however. I'll have to stick with my heavily modified c5z, that barely has $30k in it. I seriously doubt the new C7 is less than 3x that.
|
The C8 team is assemble and diligently work on the next generation.
|
I ordered my 2013 C6 last March and I am overjoyed that I own a 60th and not a C7. The supposed sneak pics that scared me off mostly were true.
My C6 is drastically better than my 03 C5 was. So I will give them the space that the power, ride, 7 speed tranny, interior, are better; but that body lines completely turn me off. The smooth lines of my 13 C6 are what I really like about it. |
I like the front end but the rear with the square tail lamps is questionable. It might grow on me, have to see it in person. The interior is much improved. Would rather have 2010-2012 ZR1 now and wait for a C7 with more hp and dual clutch.

Hope to see it in person at Barrett Jackson this weekend.
Im sure it will be a great track car but still looks too busy / gadgety if that is a word, maybe if the reveal car didnt have all the black pieces added to it! Sure has some Ferrari and Viper (the shoe) feel to it. Better have a Z06 version! |
It looked liked an oversized "hotwheel" car...I hope I like it in person...but at this point I'm disappointed!!
|
Need to know the power and price. Targa top?
|
Too busy. Looks like the car is trying to hard. Glad I still have my Z06.

At least you'll be able to look at the seats and tell if it belongs to a fat waxer or a performance guy.
So you guys are willing to suffer performance for looks? Guess I know which set of seats you'll order. |

love the front end, interior is a big upgrade, but that rear end................i dont think we will wait 9 years for the C8!

I like it ... I think. Really need to see it to decide.
Probably looking at a 2015/2016 model. With so many new parts it will probably go through a model year or two of teething issues. And the second model year always has improvements that didn't make the cut for the first year. My wife really likes the DSOM color on our C6. I hope they offer more colors then the standard white, black, red, silver, and blue. |
At this time, I have likes and dislikes. I guess I'll just have to wait to see one in person to make a decision. Maybe it will grow on us. There have been other years in which I didn't like at first but finally grew to like. I think price will be a big deal. Other thing is...ARE they gonna come out with a Z next year and what kind of hp. Still a waiting game for me. I think I will keep my Z06 for the time being.
|
I like what I see no doubt and imagine its more impressive in person.
My only issue is that I NEVER see myself using any production year corvette as a daily driver. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...IMG_7260-5.jpg |
Not overly impressed. Front end looks very similar to recently released Viper, lot of gimmicky stuff on the body, rear end is a bit camaroesque and I don't like the high rear black valence (sp?), would almost necessitate buying a black car to tone down the ricey aspects. The weight loss is modest and estimated power is line with GM's typical minor power increases for the base from one generation to the next. I can readily identify the stylistic gimmicks that were used in an attempt to lure a younger buyer. Biggest improvements are clearly in the interior.
I have owned 9 Vettes, do not currently see the need to replace my '10 Z06, currently weighing in at about 3050 lbs and over 600 emission legal h/p. I will have more interest in the C7 Z models, which will present more of a performance challenge to what I have now. Sure the LT4 will be a S/C implementation, with a hopefully more attaractive exterior. I predict it will be a hot seller for a very few months, but will quickly become dated and just another member of the class of these cars reaching out for 40-50 something "toy"dollars. This group is getting ever more competitive with greatly improved mustangs, impending intro of Jag F type, greatly improved P-car Caymen/Boxster models. The release was anti-climatic because it didn't really provide much more info than we have already had for quite some time. |

Sorry guys, but the rear end just does not do it for me. I think the Aztek engineers got hold of that rear end. I'll be keeping my C6 for now. Maybe it will grow on me. Definitely not love at first sight like the C5 and C6.
|
Will put a deposit on a Z51 tomorrow morning
|
 I'll wait for Ztrim....( I Think ) :D
