It's edgy. They're taking a gamble. Many people won't like it. They're clearly trying to attract a new audience, rather than pander to the usual "Old white man" crowd.

My first impression is that the car needs to be black. There are way too many styling distractions on the car. It gives is a Japanese look to me. The basic shape looks good, and the back looks better than I expected - especially given that the lower part is blacked out - that is the one thing that is not over done by being black.
