Bucky Threadkiller can you add the double fender ridges to your rendering? We can take a look, see what we think. You know what is happening, GM has cut costs by eliminating the design department, GM is using our fourm to design the C7. Wonder how much input we actually have?

This car has been locked and loaded, parts sourced, suppliers teed up. Your input now could only possibly affect the C8. Car Companies don't work on short schedules. I chuckle how people still debate what it will look like. I know what Pamela Sue Anderson looks like naked, even with her bikini on...... All has been revealed. I had mentioned this before. The design team has heard the bitching about the tailights and don't care. Their response was "everyone had a hernia about the fixed headlights on the C6 (many would argue, much larger than the haters about these tailights) and guess what hey learned to live with them........." |

just one very hypothetical situation; should the c7 not resemble or is a little different than jalopnlk, keeks, c&d whoever, is their credibility shot on this forum? Blue ox you seem dead set and believe every word and picture they say and use that this is the car. I hope for their sake and yours (not mine though) that this is the car.
C & D - knew it was speculation on other people's speculation or information and they do it all the time on many models and are rarely right. So they had minimal credibility to begin with. Nothing to lose. Jalopnik - Yeah it would kill any credibility they had. They built themselves up a lot. They claimed to have seen it in the "sheetmetal". If they miss it they have lied, or GM did a lot to build "sheetmetal" for a decoy car. |
I feel the C7 design is frozen and production parts have already been out sourced to various venders. Considerable lead time is needed to get production tooling designed and manufactured, etc. My thoughts are about future model years and what input we as customers have.

But Keeks, you did not specifically respond to Larry's "double ridge fender" look on the C7 brought forward in this thread. This is not a debate, just comments on what we think we see.
So you say what?:flag: I saw a very distinct double line on the fenders as you have been discussing. |
Thank you keeks!!!!:thumbs::flag:

I think it is safe to say there is a double fender ridge that radiates behind the headlights to the cowl. I think that the inner ridges extend and blend smoothly into the top of the cowl. The outer ridges extend into top the door possibly even farther aft into the rear fenders.

Looks like the double ridge was discussed earlier, was forgotten and got lost in the tail lights. Now lets look at the front splitter. As depicted seems very profound, body color??

I hope it looks closer to the stingray concept. If they're combined I'll love it. The newest renderings don't look all that amazing in my opinion. They're really hyping this up for a let down and losing a notch in my book. I hope a lot of stuff is purposely being leaked as wrong and gm will surprise the Crap out of everybody!

Buddha, don't get too optimistic from the above keeks comments to expect the C7 will have more than a few details from the StingRay Concept IMO. As suggested in the One13thirteen 11/29 teaser the C7 may express many details drawn from a number of previous design exercises.
Even with what we think we know of the exterior design to date, there is much to be revealed when those design elements are refined, especially viewed in 3D. :flag: |
