I think it will be when it is finished (but I believe it is like a website - always a work in progress - never really "done"). I do have some new pics to post soon in a more finished state with the matching CF-Leather Glove Compartment Door, etc.

It took me a few weeks to come up with the design and materials combination that I finally went with. I was trying to achieve a more "classy" look, but still retain a hint of "sportiness" and I am very happy with the results. This is one of the many design spec drawings I sent to VE to get everything done...

The same theme and Madira embroidery thread color was used everywhere. Again, part of the goal was to make everything look like it was something that "could" have come from GM as an optional package.

I like your trunk liner. Where did you get youirs from? Do they have different colors available?

The rear bumper protector is custom made - I used a soft felt - double thick, had it custom embroidered locally using my own digital file and color specs. Attached it with industrial velcro to the inside weatherstrip.

The Rear Deck sunshades are also custom embroidered. One came with the car and I bought a second one and had both custom embroidered - one with the logo rotated 180-degrees then installed them back to back - that way when looking in the rear window the logo looks correct as well.

Oh no, just something subtle like the above to make it pop.

How do you think that blackwood would look in a tan interior like this:

Fantastic interior - like the rest of your car.
Question - do the arm rest pads on the doors really add to elbo comfort? I have looked at these in the past. They seem too thin to make a differance but maybe not.

I don't really notice much difference, but I never put that much pressure on the armrests? I do notice that I have to fasten my seatbelt before I close the door or it is hard to get the buckle past the lip it creates.

CNB 03-02-2010 12:18 AM

I just started on mine. I only have the radio bezel and center arm rest/base done so far. The doors are next.

Can't wait to add mine here too! My "Titanium" interior is being done by Apsis. I went with Titanium instead of a "pure" silver because to me it brings in the silver just right. It's a cross between silver and gray..subtle. They are doing my seats now (ebony Nappa, Alcantara-solid and perforated and Titanium leather) :D
I'll have done the door panels, armrest, waterfall and the seats by the time of the AC show (Strictly Corvettes) this April. Stuff is $$$, but I'll never sell her so she is worth the investment!

Wow very nice job ! You did a lot on your Z06 to get it looking that nice!
So your saying that the lower door skins, glove box, and drivers kick panel are not factory GM colors ? Is everything covered with Ash colored leather then ? How did you get the carpet to match ?

Where did you get your double din console from?? It looks a lot better than some that Ive seen on here where the sides of the head until kind of are smoothed into the sides

I second that! Looks awesome! ...If I may... Looks like the cluster is from a non-Z C5 (RPM's only go to 6K) with some kind of a Jake cut-out. Then, I bet you switched out the backing lights with blue LED's. ...Lastly, to top it all off, you used the aluminum cluster kit that outlines the gauges. :) How close was that? But still, I WILL be doing this to mine over spring break!

I make the DD myself. Back when I did this there were not very many choices in the matter.

hey there...question for christian..im sure you have been asked this a million times...but where did you get teh carbon bits? and what were the prices like? I think it is perfect teh way that you didnt over do the interior with carbon but accented it. Nice work

Toque, looking good sir!!!! I actually saw this yesterday. Got a question for ya, how long did it take to do the HVAC? And did you do the gauge cluster? If so, how long? Ill be doing new lighting over spring break.

Absolutely gorgeous !

That looks a lot like what I've been planning for my '04 LeMans. What colors are the seats and who made the skins?

Defintely looks like a Vette Essentials project to me. Looks great! Very classy and not over the top. The design takes advantage and enhances the original GM color design.

Thanks Nate ! I did everything myself. It was a fun challenge. I just don't want to do it again...

I just uploaded a better pic from the passenger side view. :D

I did everything in WHITE for a clean look.
1.) Door Switches
2.) Traction control button
3.) Fog/trunk button
4.) HUD buttons
5.) DIC buttons
6.) Radio
7.) HVAC
8.) Footwells
9.) Rear view mirror
10.) Trunk
11.) License plate
12.) Underhood
13.) Glove Box

Honestly everything in time wise... 20-25 hours labor. I'll admit I took my time because I did not want to fry my Radio or HVAC, or other components. The Radio was about 5 hours, and the HVAC was about 6 hours. Most say the Radio is harder but I found the HVAC harder because it was a PAIN in the butt to get it back together.

If you plan to do this then I wish you luck ! Its a great update to the interior !

Toque

Your interior is SUPER nice, tan and black looks the best i think. I dont like the c6 interior for a few reasons, the switches in the c5 are really nice, the c6 goes back to crappy plastic switches for window and door, and then theres the door button instead of a handle. And the worst part of the whole thing is that crinkle cover that slides over the cup holders, i cant stand that, the dash on the c6 is nice, thats about all i like.

I noticed that too and thought...why is GM moving backwards in design...:crazy2: They did well with the door handle and keyless entry/start and the cool deal of the windows going up and down that little bit when opening/closing the door...all good ideas blown away by the cheap plastic buttons. also, I think we got more room in our interiors, although I am bummed out over the one cup holder in the C5. honestly, what was GM thinking there. Did they ever imagine the marriages they put in jeopardy because of it. :toetap: Did they not imagine the debate two big gulps can cause on a 2,000 mile road trip.

Here are some quick shots of mine. Not done yet, but getting closer. I plan a new dash pad and some tweaking of the seats. Just standard microfiber A4's right now. Great thread!

Normally, I'd think something like this is over the top, but your interior is my favorite of all of them in this thread. I can only imagine though what the cost is to do something like this. Absolutely gorgeous though. :smash:
