Default NW Events

Does any one know where I can find a list of Corvette-centric or at least well attended by Corvettes events in Oregon and Washington? A couple of weekend road trips would be fun each summer.

I see that I've already missed one in the Tri-Cities due to not knowing about it. I would be interested in attending something in Olympia or Yakima, Washington or Eugene, Redmond or Medford, Oregon.

A search of the Internet didn't find anything but street rod events.

Thanks.

Corvettes on the High Desert, Eagle Crest Resort, Redmond, OR
August 18-19. High Desert Corvette Club website for registration info.

I would also recommend that you check websites of local clubs in your area. There are several very active clubs in Washington. Any of their activity calendars will give you a good idea of Corvette events happening in the PNW.

Rose City Corvette Club has there big event the first of Aug. But I just looked on there web site and they ended registration for the banquet July 1st. which I enjoyed going to. I use to get notices in the mail about there once a year event. I don't any longer. Maybe they are wanting to keep it small. Its at the Jubitz truck stop this year.

There is a all corvette show at Half Penny Bar and Grill in Salem the 26th.
I went last year and had fun. Going to try to go this year. Its sponsered by the Willamette Valley Corvette club.

There is also a all corvette show at the XXX Root Beer in Washington. I went onces and it was fun.

Here links of car shows for each state (Mostly classics). For Corvette only you will have to look at the clubs. We need a sticky for corvette clubs for the PNW.

Yes the Half Penny is a great show. All Vettes. I am activities chair for Mt Hood Corvettes(MHCC). check out www.mthoodcorvettes.com just click on the highlighted date on the calendar and it will take you to the activity. Then if you click on the month you can get all the shows for that month and then -> to each month. We have 17 cars and about 30 people going to the High Desert next weekend. We are Caravaning there next Friday.
August is crazy!! 8/16 Vettes at the Marina,. We are going on the 2014 Bowling Green Caravan, so will miss a lot in Aug.
Have Fun! Join a club!

That's just the information I was looking for. Thanks all.

I'm committed to Cruising the Gut so can't do the High Desert event although I think that one would be my preference. I'll have to plan that one next year.

The Half Penny is definitely an option!

I see other events on the club calendars that should give me some options for the next couple of months.

Thanks again. (And keep other suggestions coming.)

The High Desert is every "other" year. They trade with the Grants Pass Show-which is one of my favorites.(great show, great dinner, fun boat rides and a wonderful cruise down to it!!)

Corvettes on the High Desert, hosted by High Desert Corvette Club, and Corvettes in the Park, hosted by Cascade Corvette Club are the two shows that alternate every other year. I believe that Corvette Weekend by Southern Oregon Corvette Association is every year in Grants Pass.

The SOCA website? Sorry, I should not have mentioned SOCA without knowing what their schedule is.
I do know that Bend & Eugene alternate every other year.

High Desert's website doesn't contain any specific info about this weekend's event other than a very general listing about it with no details

http://highdesertcorvettes.com/events2008.html

July 18-20 CORVETTES ON THE HIGH DESERT – Eagle Crest, Redmond, OR
Even their flyers page doesn't have the form for the event either.

http://highdesertcorvettes.com/flyers0308.html

But I did find the registration form on their home page:

Then I guess that's not too bad, as long as there is some good food. I hope the fires around there doesn't make it too smokey for everyone. I have reservations for Sunriver and Deshutes white water rafting in 4 weeks and getting a little nervous about all the fires popping up. I hope someone post some pics of the event. Have Fun
